The Toronto Blue Jays had a chance to take three of four but had to settle for the split in a four game series versus the Los Angeles Angels. They won on aggregate runs (14-10) as they started the series with back-to-back complete game shutouts (Brandon Morrow and Henderson Alvarez).
Albert Pujols broke a ridiculously long homerun drought with his first of the season in the fourth game of the series. Drew Hutchison continues to give up hits and will be a pitcher who relies on getting quality defense at the major league level for any sustained success.
Eric Thames had a chance to make a big catch in left field during yesterday’s fourth game of the series but failed to bring it in, the play ended up being big as the Angels went on to score a couple runs.
